But from what I read and been thru they are not going to be able to fix if its the app. So I decided to call my own AC that installed Carrier. What!? I said dont you have tech support? Answer was “no”. She Gave me a list of carrier places to call to come for fix. Basically now with no AC till it decides to run for 5 mins or so and then blank screen again It never did this before this recent update Aug 2022Īnd I contacted Carrier by phone. Its not in manual Ive reset circuit breaker for heat and AC. Then it takes forever to wait till it comes back up Not aware if I have batteries. I am having to have my AC people come out to help with thermostat or replace. Who the heck needs schedules for different zones unless you live in a mansion or have a summer home too. Why doesnt Carrier leave things alone? Go thru this crap all the time. I can no longer recommend your systems to anyone. My next HVAC system will not be a Carrier unless something changes. Make some upgrades and admit you need to return the old application until you get it figured out. Maybe it’s time to go back to the drawing board. Saying we will be adding features over the coming months and then having an app that doesn’t even work for a vast portion of your customers seems like an incredibly stupid move that you continue to make repeatedly. And is actually worth the upgrade to your customers. You only replace something when your new version has been fully vetted and is actually ready to go. I have tested and validated software in the past. And before you ask, everything is up to date and my wifi is fine. It has been months and this app is still a total waste of space that can not contact the Carrier servers and my thermostat can’t contact them either. Every single update gets worse not better. I do not understand why you would get rid of something and replace it with a utterly worthless version that is still essentially being built and tested. One of the reasons I purchased a Carrier system was the My Infinity App and being able to control the system from anywhere and being notified if something goes wrong. Horrible replacement that continue to get worse You can always reach out to us at should any of the problems persist. Please check your app again in some time. Some of these issues have already been resolved or are about to be in the next day. We are aware of certain issues that some of our users have been facing and our team is diligently working to address them as we speak. Thank you for reaching out! We are sorry to know that your experience with our app has been less than optimal. Hopefully future versions won’t go retrograde. I also see the air quality readings which did not appear upon opening the fist time in previous versions of the app. I can open the app after and extended period for it being closed and I see the correct settings and readings now. In any case, I would have to open the app then close it and reopen to obtain current settings and readings. I don’t know if if this was due to the app alone or if there was perhaps a server-side component to the behavior. That appears to have been resolved with this most recent update. The app had been opening with “old” or perhaps “cached” data, however. Update for most recent version: the hanging behavior is no longer an issue and hasn’t been for the past 2-3 updates. Wait a few minutes then reopen and it hangs. Reopen again seconds later and it’s fine. If you close the app after opening then reopen it connects fine. For the past three versions the app hangs when opening for the first time.
